Cynthia's sister, Jenny, and I went to the same church in Silver Spring, Maryland for awhile around 1990. We chatted about Cynthia a time or two.

She was in my fifth-grade class with David Harris (the teacher) when I first started going to Rock Canyon. I didn't know her well, but I can still see her sitting in her desk with her blond hair and freckles. She had a very pretty smile.

I was in Sub Deb and became acquainted with Cynthia through our involvement in that. I remember she was so very positive and was always smiling. It would have been fun to have had the opportunity to get to know her better.

Cynthia was my best friend from the time my family moved here from Montana when I was 4 yrs. old. We lived right across the street from each other and played together all the time. She had such a good laugh and a great smile! She always thought her cheeks were too chubby but that's why her smile was so great. I have so many good memories of her and so many things in my daily life remind me of her. They are too numerous to mention and some of them only she and her family would know what I was talking about. Her family included me in a lot of their activities and treated me really well. I still miss her a lot and she still visits my dreams. I visit her at least twice a year; on Memorial Day and her birthday. She will always have a special place in my heart.

Cynthia was the first experience I had with the death of someone dear to me. We were friends and her passing was difficult but also gave me hope because of how her family faced such a tragedy. She had so much faith and made others feel so valued; a skill seldom seen in one so young. Till we meet again, Cynthia.
