After graduating in '80, I went on a mission to the England Leeds mission. I studied Anthropology/Archeology at BYU but have worked in the software industry ever since leaving BYU.
My earlier life was centered around 650 East in Provo. My home address was 645 East, my grade school (Rock Canyon) is on 650 East, 650 East bisects Farrer Jr. High in half, Timpview is on 650 East. The back side of the MTC is 650 East. The meeting house I attended growing up sits at 650 East and another meeting house I attended after my mission in a Young Adult ward is on 650 East. 650 East basically bisects BYU.
However, in my later years, I was finally able to break the bonds of 650 East and I have been able to venture all the way to Springville, and now to Spanish Fork (well in the canyon) to where I now reside :).
My greatest contribution to Timpview was in helping many to get a better grade out of Mr. Lloyd's class. With the aid of my mentor, David Harris, and our trusted friend Poncho De Hoyos, we danced around a fire as we played bongos and burned the pages of Mr. Lloyd's roll book, which resulted in us getting the last week of school off (expelled). But many later commented to me that they got a better grade because all the actual grade information went up in smoke.
