Scott Stephen Kirkpatrick
Born: June 17, 2961
Died: November 25, 2016
According to his family, Scott graduated from Utah State University with a degree in Business Administration. He had a passion for skiing and was a frequent participant in the Utah Winter Games in Telemark, often placing in the Top 3 throughout the 90's. He also participated in freestyle and ski jumping.
He worked as General Manager/Property Management for Canyon Services (luxury vacation rentals around Alta and Snowbird). His family told me that he worked up Little Cottonwood Canyon for a total of 35+ years.
Scott passed away from a heartattack the day after Thanksgiving in 2016.
Thanks to Rod Hunt for reporting Scott's passing.
Funny story (sidenote): When we started www.timpvew79.com back in 2009, we had several people out looking for our classmates. At the time, one of our classmates reported that Scott was dead, so we posted an "In Memory Page" for him back then. When another friend told him about the "In Memory Page," his reply was, "...maybe being dead is a good thing because then they won't be able to find me." Everyone had a good laugh about the snafu.
Sadly, this time we confirmed his death by calling his family. They told us that Scott had some heart issues for several years and passed away from a heart attack, at his home in Sandy, Utah.
If anyone has information about Scott to add or some semi-recent photos of him, please send them to timpview79@gmail.com. We'd love to post them here. Thanks!
