Bradley Tyler Morley
1961-2024

Provo, UT- Our beloved husband, dad, grandpa, brother, and friend Brad Morley passed away suddenly and far too soon on Friday, August 2.

Brad was born on September 5, 1961, to Stewart and Wanda (Brown) Morley in San Mateo, California. He and his five brothers and two sisters spent their childhood in Stockton, California, primarily overstaying their welcomes at neighbors’ homes and making mischief with lifelong friends at their local park and swimming pool. Brad’s best stories were from his time in Stockton.

He attended Edison High School in Stockton, where he developed an appreciation for friends, football, and funk and soul music, before transferring to Timpview High School his junior year when his family moved to Provo, Utah. That same year he was elected Student Body President and spoke fondly throughout his life of the time he spent working with his peers. After graduation he served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the New England States Mission, where he developed a deep and abiding love for the city of Boston, the people, but perhaps most of all, the Red Sox and Fenway Park.

He studied at the  University of Utah and received a degree in Sociology, a field he never thought about for a single second after graduation. He worked for many different companies in various positions before co-founding TAMS Solutions in 2003 where he spent two decades growing the business and developing close relationships with his team.

On August 30, 1983, he was sealed to his best friend Carey Datwyler Morley in the Provo LDS Temple. Together they enjoyed fly fishing, exploring state and national parks, walking through foreign cities, playing games with their family, and hiking with their grandchildren who insisted on wearing Crocs and whining every step of the way.

They raised their children in Provo and never missed a single track meet, cheer competition, school play, football game, or seemingly neverending orchestra concert. Their home was a welcoming place to their children’s friends, all of whom admired Brad’s warmth, kindness, and humor. No one got a kick out of life quite like Brad. He could find a joke in any situation and had a bottomless well of stories and anecdotes, which he shared with expert timing.

Brad was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in a number of different callings. He poured his whole heart into loving and serving congregations, especially the students in the wards where he served for years. He was an example to his family and friends of how to live the gospel of Jesus Christ with authenticity and humility.

Brad’s second favorite place in the world was the golf course, where he cultivated friendships with his extraordinary community of fellow golfers, and where he finally got a hole-in-one last summer. His first favorite place in the world was the backyard, on a blanket in the shade, surrounded by his grandkids. He stepped into his truest calling the moment he became a grandfather to the kids who call him Bop Bop. They love him just as fiercely as he loves them.

He is survived by his wife Carey and three children, Meg (Stephen) Walter, Nick (Ashley) Morley, and Hannah (Mitch) Dahl, his brothers Terry, Eddie, Tony, Ike, and Eric Morley and his sister Becky Morley. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Camille.

There will be a viewing on the evening of Thursday, August 8th from 6:30-8:30 pm at the LDS Chapel on 303 W. 3700 N. in Provo, Utah. An additional viewing will be held Friday morning from 9:30-10:30 followed by the funeral service at 11 am.

Oh gosh, what a heartbreaking shock! Mark and I were so sad to learn this. Brad was such a great guy in high school. The longer we live, the more we appreciate the outstanding peers we had at Timpview. Brad contributed much to the tone of our class. Can do, Joy, fun, kindness -- it has blessed us all our lives.

This is a shocker!  I saw Brad just over a month ago at the Timpview/Provo 45th Reunion Breakfast and he was doing just fine, just looking more like a Grandpa than he used to.  It's sad every time someone we grew up with passes on, but it is starting to hit a little closer to home with each passing year.  I used to feel young.  Not so much anymore.

I also had not known that TAMS was Brad's company.  I've bought several monitors and PC's at TAMS in the past.

I second Doug's comment. I chatted with Brad while he was frying up pancakes at the combined PHS/TVHS breakfast last month and didn't think anything of it. I run into him here and there occasionally, and I had no reason to think that wouldn't continue to happen.

Interesting that you have bought equipment from TAMS, Doug. I visited the shop a time or two and always got VIP treatment from Brad. He was a good guy. Personable and helpful and with a good sense of humor.

What great moments Brad created in life and the memories he left behind are highlights in a challenging world. Well done, Brad! Love to those who will feel his absence the most!

Until we meet again!
