I remember when...
One night about 30 of us went to see "The Excorcist"
btw-don't ever see it! We were seniors and thinking that we were pretty tough. Well, about halfway through, suddenly David Neuenswander and some others got so freaked out that they stood up to leave and started yelling "we're out a here." I believe someone grabbed them and made them sit through the rest of it. All of us have our own versions of the rest of the night, but mine went like this: After the movie, we were so scared we couldn't go home. So Carl Black, Russ Cahoon, Brett Downing and I decided we needed to get our minds off the movie. So we went to the old Albertson's on Canyon Rd. to look at magazines and get something to eat. About 1:00 am. Carl, thinking that he could be dropped off first without wigging out before he made it inside his house, volunteered to be dropped off first. THIS IS ONE INSANE MOVIE!! None of us dared get out of the car and be alone! After Carl's brave dash Russ and I went to drop the big "B" Downing off at his house. He was too scared to get out of the car. Russ and I felt his pain and not minding a little more "chill time" we went back down to Albertson's to calm down once again. It was 2:00 am. by now, and being a school night we needed to get home. So Russ and I tried again to take Brett home, we sat in his driveway for about a half hour talking him through it. In all fairness, he did have to walk down an alley and up some dark stairs and stuff. So being the only "Stud," Russ walked Brett to his door and then ran back to my car (my moms car.) He found me playing the radio full blast to scare away the devil freaks. It was 2:30 am by now, Russ and I drove home chuckling a bit about Brett but still worried about how we still had to get from the car to our beds.
What a night!!!
