I worked in Holy Cross Hospital as a phlebotomist while attending the University of Utah and met my wife Kathie Jerman while working at the hospital. We married in 1985.

I got a degree from University of Utah in Biology, and graduated in 1988. My first professional job was with AgriDyne in Salt Lake City, working in a lab developing products for Agriculture.

I moved to Concord, CA in 1992 accepting a job with Valent USA Corp. as a pesticide formulation chemist. The Bay Area is one of my favorite places.

I accepted a job with Stepan Company and moved to Lawrenceville, GA right before the 1996 Summer Olympics. I worked in Stepan's Ag formulation lab as a product development chemist for 5 years.

I was offered a job with Clariant in 2000, and decided to get some business and sales experience with them as their Ag Surfactants Branch Manager.

I am now working for Huntsman, as the Agrochemicals Market Manager for Europe, Middle East and Africa. I live in Brussels, Belgium with Kathie and two of our cats. Europe is a great place to live and work.

I've got a great family. Kathie works as a Clinician for the Gwinnett Women's Pavilion. She teaches new Nurses, and runs the continuing education programs for the Hospital.
We've raised wonderful kids, Sara is a Ph.D. Scientist working for a pharmaceutical contract research firm. Tessa is one year away from graduating as a Registered Nurse. Jackson is going to school and working as a Game Advisor at GameStop (he's a natural for this).

I love to cook, and it shows. I have a barbecue team called Smokin' & Drinkin' and we participate in barbecue contests in Georgia. I've now got trophies with pigs on the top - life is complete.

During a costume change for one of the plays I was in, the zipper on my pants broke. I came out on stage anyway, and did the scene with my zipper down. Nobody noticed, sadly.
