Children: | Chase born 1990 - Married Christine Diamond June 2013. They have one daughter, Sofia Jane.(Yay! I'm More…a grandma) Cambrie born 1995 - Died November 2014 in car accident at the age of 18. No one should have to bare the pain of burying your child! It changes you. I am a different person now, and not in a good way. #griefsucks. Cambrie and I shared an obsessive love of horses and had been competing with the Utah Hunter/Jumper Association since 2007. |

After high school I attended BYU and got to go on Semester Abroad to England. Besides traveling all over Europe, we also visited Greece, Israel & Russia!
I served and LDS mission in the Virginia Roanoke (now Richmond) Mission where I met my future husband. Yes, he was my zone leader. We got together a year after I returned home at a mission reunion. He asked for my phone number & I told him he could have it if he told me his first name. I knew it wasn't "Elder".
Ken & I have lived in Provo, Lindon & Riverton Utah. Also Roseville California & Acworth Georgia.
Since high school, I have worked as legal secretary for two different law firms; a loan secretary for UCCU Credit Union, and a Customer Support Manager for WordPerfect (1985-1993 back in the day!). After that, my best "job" was to play with my kids and be their mommy. When our son, Chase, started Middle School I started working 1/4-time as a cashier in his lunch room. Seven years later my daughter, Cambrie, is at the same Middle School and I am still there meeting my kids' friends and teachers & counting change.
Two years ago, Cambrie & I started taking English Riding lessons (Hunter/Jumper). I found out how much I LOVE horses. We started working at the barn feeding, watering, & cleaning stalls for 48 horses on Saturdays to help pay for our lessons. Believe it or not, I love the smell of alfalfa and horse manure. Is there a problem with that?
UPDATE: In November 2014, a police officer and a chaplain met up with Ken and myself. They told us that our 18 year old daughter, Cambrie, had been killed . instantly that afternoon in a car crash. I will never be the same. My heart is broken and it will never heal. I am not stronger. I am not more compassionate. I have not learned any great lessons. I will never stop missing her. I don't understand the statement: "God has a reason for everything."
She has been dead for 4 years,.2 months,.and 2 weeks.
Drill Team head flips. Icy Hot for splits. Performing even when the music quit.
Mrs. Nelson's AP English class where I learned that I didn't really know what I thought, until I put my thoughts down on paper.
Sneaking pizza into the Marriott Center under our graduation gowns. Shaking hands with the principal when we received our diploma and slipping him a penny. (He probably earned a nice chunk of change that night.)
