Douglas Robert Harmon - "Doug"

Born: May 4, 1961 in Salt Lake City, Utah
Died: January 18, 1980 (jeep accident)

AMERICAN FORK -- Funeral services will be held Tuesday for Douglas Robert Harmon, 18; of 914 N. 400 W., American Fork, who died Friday, January 18, 1980 in a jeep accident.

He was born May 4, 1961 in Salt Lake City to Robert K. and Janice Chynoweth Harmon.

He received his education in the Provo and Orem School Districts.  He was employed at Modern Shoe Repair at the time of his death.

He was a member of the LDS Church, attending American Fork 10th Ward where he was a teacher. His interests included auto mechanics, snow and water skiing, art, and building race cars. He moved to American Fork with his mother in December, 1979.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Janice H. Jolley or American Fork; one sister, Mrs. Laura Jan Hibbert of American Fork, and grandmother, Mrs. Nettie Rayl or Orem.

Services will begin at 2 p.m. in the Edgemont Ninth Ward LDS Chapel, 4300 N. Canyon Road, Provo. Friends may call at Berg Mortuary of Orem, 500 N. State St. on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. or at the ward chapel on Tuesday prior to services. Burial will be in Provo City Cemetery.

Doug's headstone is difficult to read and has faded. Buried in Provo City Cemetery.

Doug was a good friend. His death changed my entire Life.
We had some good time in high school.
